The other day I was Stumbling (www.stumbleupon.com), and I came across a neat t-shirt design. Wanting to own this t-shirt, but lacking the money to do so, I decided to take matters into my own hands. I went up to my room, grabbed a plain white v-neck, ran to the basement for some cardboard, newspaper, and paint then rushed up to paint my clothes on my moms hardwood floors. I just used her acrylic paints that she used to paint ceramic houses with, it is a durable paint and will stay on for a a decently long amount of time. The end result? Something not unlike this:
See!! It's a sheet of college ruled paper, haha. To celebrate an awesome first day at Kent State.

So, Lately I have not been posting all to much, but I just have something I feel like I should say. Now, it doesn't pertain to jewelery, but I just feel it should be posted anyways.
Recently I have reconnected with the Lord and it was a really great thing for me. One of the things I have struggled with is looking for love. I found that I was always looking for love in all the wrong places. I would have boyfriend after boyfriend and it just never seemed to fill that Jesus size hole in my heart.
Music has always been a huge part of my life, I love it. And during church I have always loved the song Love is Here. This song has never failed to bring me to tears. It is just so amazing how God loves us and how, the one line says "Come to the Lover, you who want, and you'll want no more."
It is just so beautiful that God would sacrifice everything he had, turn his head to his own son, out of love for me. A dirty sinner.
But even when it seems like nobody is there, nobody loves you, God always does. We just have to learn how to stay strong in Him.
Come to the waters, you who thirst and you'll thirst no more.
Come to the father, you who work and you'll work no more.
And all you who labor in vain and to the broken and shamed:
Love is here.
Love is now.
Love is pouring from
His hands, from his brows.
Love is near, it satisfies.
Streams of mercy flowing from his side.
Cuz love is here.
Come to the treasure, you who search and you'll search no more.
Come to the lover you who want and you'll want no more, no.
And all you who labor in vain and to the broken and shamed,
Yeah:
Love is here.
Love is now.
Love is pouring from his hands, from his brows.
Love is near, it satisfies.
Streams of mercy flowing from his side.
Yeah
And to the bruised and fallen,
Captives, bound, and broken hearted.
He is the lord
He is the lord,
Yeah
By his stripes he's paid our ransom
From his wounds we drink salvation
He is the lord
He is the lord
Love is here.
Love is now.
Love is pouring from his hands, from his brows.
Love is near,
It satisfies.
Streams of mercy flowing from his side.

Cuz love is here
Love is here.

Today: French club had a Mardi Gras party! We ate crêpes (french pancakes) with Nutella - which is my new favorite topping :DD Nutella is a chocolatey-hazelnutty-heavenly goodness! I reccomend you try it. In France they eat it like Americans eat peanut butter! Anyhow, we also had strawberries and cherries and to show my love for the delight of the mixture of sweet and fruity, here are my Peaches and Cream earrings!! Yayyy!!! They are cute and summery (not to get mistaken for summary :) ). I can't wait to show these cute little darlings off!

SO yesterday I got a prom dress ^.^ I went to a resale and got it for $100. It is so nice! Black and white :) I will put a picture up tomorrow... But as far as jewelery goes - here's another simple one. Gold Roses on a String - Naturals collection. It is a bunch of gold rose beads on a string. It makes for a lovely bracelet or necklace. Short and sweet (sounds like someone I know! :P)

Here is one of my favorite pieces in the Naturals collection - Simple Feather Earrings. All they are are silver feathers attached to earrings with a c-ring. They are plain and classy :) Wear with a classic everyday outfit or out for a night on the town. I have about a billion feathers - I'm always looking for more things to do with them!!

Today: I'm introducing a little fellow called Beadle! I got the idea for him out of a bead magazine. He is comprised of seed beads and bigger beads on wire, but he can be made out of anything you want! I added a keyring onto Beadle, to make him nice and handy-dandy :) Just like real people, bead-people can be made in all shapes, sizes, and colors. You can also do variations on the hair - leaving it just wire on the top, and curling it for 'hair', make it bigger, smaller, use colored wire, etc. Let your imagination go wild!!

Here is another s
amp
le from my Naturals collection. Its an opaque glass leaf with (from leaf up) 3 alternating round green and black beads, an oval blue and white marble bead, then 14 silver flower spacers, another marble bead, 22 alternating green and black flat circular beads, two more oval then one square marble beads, and then 7 silver balls. Held together with a silver lobster clasp, on clear nylon thread. :)
Hello All!! I'm just starting out here, so give me a little slack :) I'll start by first telling a little about myself... I'm just a plain ol' gal, who loves eccentricity to the extreme. I've been doing crafts all my life, growing up in a family with a scrapbook-addict mom. I never really was that into scrapbooking, but I eventually found my niche in the craft world - JEWELERY! I love making necklaces, bracelets, rings, anklets, earrings, anything!! I also moved on to clothes, altering them, giving them my own little touches. All the jewelery I wear is of my own creation. I know I'm still a bit of a novice (I took a few year hiatus from jewelery making), but I still enjoy every second of the time I spend working on my craft, and am proud of all the work I complete.
